Pick-up instructions: Upon reaching the arrival hall, follow the signs leading to the rental car area and locate the Alamo car rental counter at the Nice Airport which is located in the terminal 2 parking garage. A representative will guide you to the rental car park which is specifically designated for rental vehicles. The Terminal 1 arrivals need to take the car rental shuttle to Terminal 2.

For renting any car through Alamo rent-a-car, the minimum age should be 18 years, however, renters below the age of 25 years will have to pay an additional fee. 

 
  • Insurance
 

The Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) reduces the renter’s responsibility in case of any theft or damage to the rented car. If it is not included in the reservation. The renters bear full liability for the vehicle. You can purchase CDW to decrease the excess fee to 0 for all cars. The excess can be lowered to 250 EUR for small cargo vans and for medium and intermediate it can reduce up to 300 EUR. 

 

However, this coverage excludes acts of vandalism, damage to tires and rims, windshield, superior and inferior parts of the vehicle without collision, and non-compliance with the rules of the road.

 
  • Deposit and Deductible Policy
 

Renters have to pay a security deposit along with the estimated rental cost. For Mini, Economy, intermediate, and standard, a deposit of 250 EUR is needed. For cargo vans, a deposit of 500 EUR is required. For Elite, Fullsize, and Convertible categories, the deposit amount is set at 1000 EUR, while for Premium and Luxury Cars, it's 2000 EUR, which must be charged entirely on one credit card.

The accepted forms of payment at the Alamo rental counter are non-prepaid Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club and Discover Card. Physical cards must be presented digital or mobile wallet versions of the cards are not acceptable for payment.

Alamo offers optional services like a GPS system, child seats and ski racks with their car rentals for an added daily charge. Option to Pay upon Return:

This allows the renter to refill the tank before returning the car or pay for the fuel that they have used but haven't replaced when they return the vehicle. Be aware that the price charged per gallon or litre by Alamo will be higher than typical local fuel rates.
