Renters under the age of 25 have to pay a Young Renter Fee which is around  32.50 EUR per day for each driver However, if your rental period extends beyond 10 days, this surcharge is capped at 10 days, providing coverage for the entire rental duration, up to a maximum of 30 days.
 
  • Insurance

    You can choose Damage Waiver which will reduce your financial liability in case of any damage to the vehicle. With CDW, you're simply liable for settling up to the excess sum determined in your contract. Assuming you show that the harm happened through no shortcoming of your own or because of carelessness, Budget will repay these charges. Budget also offers third-party liability insurance, which covers damages to other people's property and injuries caused by the rented vehicle during the rental period.
 
  • Deposit and Deductible Policy

    During your rental period. A deposit amount will be held against your credit card. This is a type of guarantee held against any potential damage to the car. This will be released if there is no theft or damage during the rental period. Upon returning the car, you have to pay for the final rental charge which can be done through both a credit or debit card but the deposit is provided using a credit card.  This amount will be equivalent to the estimated total cost of your rental plus an additional charge of 110 euros. 
 
  • Payment Policy

    Budget accepts American Express, Diners, Discover, Visa credit and debit cards, and MasterCard credit and debit cards, including Avis-issued charge cards. However, Maestro, Cirrus, JCB, prepaid cards, and digital payment cards are not accepted. 
 
  • Optional Extras and Services

    At Nice Airport's Budget rental car centre, various optional extras and services are available for customers:

    These include child and infant seats, luggage racks, satellite navigation systems, and hand controls for disabled drivers. These are not included in the rental fee and you have to pay an additional daily fee for them however, hand controls are offered at no extra cost. It is crucial that you reserve hand controls before time as they can work with only certain automatic cars and they need to be installed before your arrival. 
 
  • Fuel Policy : 

    Budget's fuel policy offers different options to the renters

     
  • Full Tank Return Policy:

    Under this policy, the renter has to return the vehicle with the same fuel level as was present at pick-up time, which is usually a full tank. It is recommended to refuel close to the return location and keep the receipt as proof. Failure to do so may result in charges.

  • Fuel Up Front Option:

    If you are planning to travel more than 120 kilometres, you can choose the Fuel Up Front option, in which the renter has to pay for a full tank of fuel at the start of the rental.  The vehicle can be returned with any remaining fuel, even if it is almost empty, without the need for additional charges.
     
  • Pay on Return Option:

    This Applies to renters who do not opt for the Fuel Up Front option and have driven more than 120 kilometres. The cost is calculated based on the factory-installed fuel gauge, rounded down to the nearest eighth of a tank. The charge includes the average fuel price at the end of the rental period, plus a processing fee covering the cost of refueling on short notice.
     
  • Electric Vehicles:
     
  • If you return the electric vehicle with 70% or more battery charge, No Cost will apply
  • If you return the electric vehicle with between 11%-69% battery charge,  you need to pay EUR 23.39

    If you return the electric vehicle with 10% or less battery charge, you need to pay EUR 36.24
